SMTPeter takes permission very seriously. By creating an SMTPeter account you agree to this Anti spam policy.
It is not OK to spam people. If you try, we will immediately close your SMTPeter account. And you will not get any refund. Before we make a decision, we investigate all potential spam incidents thoroughly. But once we have made a decision, we act fast.
What is SPAM?
According to the Spamhaus Project: The word "Spam" as applied to Email means "Unsolicited Bulk Email".
When is a message SPAM?
A message is Spam only if it is both Unsolicited and Bulk.
Unsolicited means that the recipient has not granted verifiable permission for the message to be sent. (examples: first contact enquiries, job enquiries, sales enquiries)
Bulk means that the message is sent as part of a larger collection of messages, all having substantively identical content. (examples: subscriber newsletters, customer communications, discussion lists)
SPAM in the words of SMTPeter: Spam is ANY email you send to someone (or something) who has not given you their explicit permission to contact them with your message. Spam is bad, but you already knew that.
